What is a Registered Agent?
A registered agent, sometimes known as a statutory agent or resident agent, is a person or business designated to receive important legal documents on behalf of your LLC. This includes crucial items like service of process notices (essentially, notices that your LLC is involved in a lawsuit) and official state filings.
Every LLC must appoint a registered agent when it’s formed. This role involves providing the state with a physical address (sorry, no P.O. Boxes allowed) where legal documents can be received during normal business hours. This requirement ensures that your LLC can be contacted reliably if legal actions are taken against it.

For New LLCs: When you set up your LLC with us, RASi will automatically be designated as your registered agent.

For Existing LLCs: If you’re joining Collective with an already established LLC, we can help you file a change to designate RASi as your new registered agent.
The cost of these services is included in your Collective membership fee, and we work closely with RASi to ensure that you’re promptly notified of any notices or legal processes your LLC receives.
