We're sorry to hear you're not receiving our system notification emails. We understand how important it is to stay informed.
Sometimes, emails can be miscategorized by a user's email provider. Here are some steps you can take to help locate the emails and ensure you receive them going forward, with specific instructions for Gmail:
Step 1: Check Your Spam Folder
Gmail's spam filters sometimes incorrectly categorize legitimate business emails. Here's how to check and fix this:
- On your computer, navigate to your Gmail inbox.
- In the left-hand menu, look for the "Spam" folder.
- Click on Spam to open the folder and see if our email is there.
- Mark as "Not Spam" if found:
- Open the email from Collective
- Click "Report not spam" at the top
- This moves the email to your inbox and trains Gmail's filters
Step 2: Search All Mail and Other Folders
Sometimes emails get automatically archived or sorted into different folders. Here's how to check and fix:
- On your computer, open Gmail.
- In the search bar at the top, type from:collective.com and press Enter. This will search for all emails from our domain.
- You can also try searching for a specific email subject or keyword you're expecting.
- If the email isn't in your main inbox, it may have been accidentally archived. Click on the "All Mail" label in the left-hand menu to see all messages, including those that have been archived.
Step 3: Check for Email Filters
Filters are rules that can automatically move, delete, or categorize your emails. It's possible that a filter is causing our messages to skip your inbox.
- On your computer, open Gmail.
- In the top-right corner, click the Settings icon (a gear).
- Click on "See all settings".
- Click the "Filters and Blocked Addresses" tab.
- Review the list of filters to see if any are set to automatically delete or archive emails from collective.com. You can edit or delete any filters that are preventing you from seeing our messages.
Step 4: Add Us to Your Contacts
To prevent our emails from being filtered in the future, please add our sending address to your Google Contacts.
- On your computer, open Google Contacts by going to https://contacts.google.com/.
- Click on Create contact.
- Enter our name and email address. You can use noreply@collective.com as an example.
- Click Save.
