What is Collective Payroll?
Collective Payroll enables you to run Gusto-powered payroll from your Collective Dashboard. Changes and actions made in Collective Payroll are synced with Gusto and vice versa.
Some of the Payroll actions you can do from your Collective Dashboard are:
Run, cancel or skip regular payroll
Run an off-cycle payroll
View payroll history and paystubs
All other payroll features are still available through your Gusto dashboard. See our features list below for a full list of Collective Payroll features.
What’s going to happen to my Gusto account?
Your Gusto account will remain active and you can log in to Gusto.com anytime.
What will change when I start using Collective Payroll?
You’ll no longer receive payroll emails from Gusto. Instead, those emails will be coming from Collective ([email protected]).
My payroll is on autopilot. Can I still use Collective Payroll?
Yes! Collective Payroll was built to meet the needs of manual and automated payroll. Through Collective Payroll, you’ll be able to view and skip upcoming automatic payroll runs in your Collective Dashboard.
What about my contractors and employees? Can they still use Gusto to view their pay stubs?
Yes, your contractors and employee will retain access to their Gusto accounts and can login anytime to view their paystubs and tax forms.
How do I get started with Collective Payroll?
Getting started is easy! You just need to connect your Gusto account to your Dashboard and accept the terms of use.
Follow the instruction below or watch our walkthrough video.
Login to your Collective Dashboard.
Make sure the Gusto Connection box at the bottom of your dashboard shows "connected".
Go to the left side menu and click on Payroll.
Check the two checkboxes and click I understand and agree.
I already submitted a payroll via Gusto. Do I need to wait for that to process before setting up Collective Payroll?
Nope, you can get started right away. Any payrolls you submitted via Gusto will still be processed. And you’ll even see that history on your Collective Dashboard.
Do I have to setup my payroll settings again in the Collective Dashboard?
Nope! All of your Gusto payroll settings, including your autopilot settings, will stay the same and your autopilot payroll will continue to run on it’s regular schedule. Any updates you make to your payroll via your Collective Dashboard will sync to Gusto and vice versa.
Is this different from Gusto? Do I lose my Gusto access or payroll features?
Collective Payroll is integrated with Gusto. You don't lose your Gusto access or payroll features, but you do gain access to a number of Gusto features on your Collective Dashboard, which centralizes your experience
Do I have to stop using Gusto?
Nope! You can still login to Gusto anytime to access your account and additional payroll features.
Does Collective Payroll cost more? Will I get charged for using it?
No! Collective Payroll is a new feature under your Collective membership. Your membership price will stay the same and your billing will not be impacted.
What is the last date I can migrate to Collective Payroll?
The last day to migrate to Collective Payroll is September 30, 2022.
What happens if I don’t accept the Terms of Use? Can I keep using Collective?
If you don’t accept the Terms of Use, you can continue using Collective and you can still use Gusto for your payroll services. However, we do believe that Collective Payroll offers a better experience for our members. It eliminates the added time of having to log into Gusto to perform basic tasks and you’ll be able to see more of your financial information in one place.
