How to remove 2-Factor Authentication from MyTaxIL Account (IL-DOR)

To remove 2-factor authentication from your MyTaxIL account, please follow the instructions listed below:

  1. Visit the MyTaxIL website and log in using your Username and Password.

  2. Once logged in, click "Manage My Profile" on the top-right.

  3. Under the "Security" section, you'll see "Codes are sent via email/Phone". Click "Change Two-Step Settings"

  4. Click the small "x" with your email/phone number/authentication app.

  5. Save the settings and log out.
