Updated over a week ago

If you are an Employer in Indiana who was recently registered with the IN-Department of Revenue for Withholding and Taxpayer ID Account ID, you'll be asked to create an online account with Indiana Taxpayer Information Management Engine. This account will be used to retrieve these account ids and manage the account in future.

Once your registration is submitted, you should receive the following email from [email protected].

Please follow these steps to create the online account and retrieve your Payroll Tax account ids:

  1. Click the link in the email that says "create a username and password"

  2. It will open the page with some information about who is eligible to create the INTIME Account. Click "Next"

  3. Are you registering as a Business or an Individual? Select "Business" and go to the next page.

  4. ID Type: Select "FEIN" and enter your FEIN. Also, enter the full Legal name of your business. Go to the next page.

  5. Tax Account type to be filed: Select "Withholding (WH-1, WH3)" | Account Validation Method: Select "Letter ID" | Enter the Letter ID from the email sent by IN-DOR. Go to the next page.

  6. Create a username and password and select security question/answer.

  7. Next, enter your name, email, and phone number.

  8. On the final page, review the information and hit "Submit"

  10. You will also receive an email from the Department of Revenue confirming the new account setup.

  11. Please go back to the main page and log in using the credentials created in the previous steps. When you log in for the first time, the website will ask you to set up 2 factor authentication.

  12. Once logged in, you should be able to see your Withholding account ID in the format WTH-XXXXXXXXXX and some "Action items".

  13. Click on the Action items tab and view the correspondence available in your inbox.

  14. You will find a Registration letter with "Taxpayer ID" number.

  15. Add this account id to Gusto by logging into your Gusto account. From the left handside menu, click Taxes & Compliance> Tax Setup> Manage Taxes> Click the Edit pencil next to Taxpayer Identification Number and enter the account id. You might have to enter 001 as suffix (standard location code for one business location). Hit "Save"

  16. Also, rename the document as "Taxpayer ID Document" and upload this letter to your documents via Collective dashboard.
