Third-Party Authorization Request Approval (MA-DOR)

This article outlines the necessary steps required to approve the TPA request from Gusto on Masstaxconnect

Updated over a week ago

For Gusto to file and pay your MA-Withholding tax and PFML, you'll need to grant Gusto third-party access. Once Gusto requests your approval, you'll be asked to approve Gusto as your TPA on your Massachusetts Department of Revenue online portal, also known as Masstaxconnect.

It can take up to 10 business days before the request to approve Gusto appears on your Masstaxconnect account. The Department of Revenue will then send an email informing you of the access request.

You can follow the steps mentioned below to approve the request:

  1. Sign in to the MassTaxConnect website using your login credentials. If you don't have the credentials, please contact Collective.

  2. Once logged in, click the “Manage My Profile” option on the top-right.

  3. On the next page, click the “More” tab.

  4. Under “Third Party Access”, click “View Access Requests from Third Parties”

  5. You will see a request from “ZENPAYROLL, INC”. Click “Approve”

  6. For access type, select “All Access”

  7. Submit the permissions approval.

  8. Save the confirmation PDF on your computer and upload it to your Collective documents with the document type: "State Employer Registration Number".

Done!

Email Collective to let us know that you have completed the "Third Party Authorization for Gusto" so we can let Gusto know.
